Also, the way it makes you feel consequences deep in your gut, even after the credits roll. Of course, it’s not an easy watch, but it’s certainly a masterpiece.

It keeps you guessing, blending mystery, drama, and even horror. Also, the ending sparks a debate and makes you rewatch it again.

My pick is W.R.: Mysteries of the Organism by legendary filmmaker Dusan Makavejev. A film that was banned for over 15 years and one of the most alternative movies of all time. I usually say that it’s pointless to explain it; it’s better to watch it. However, it’s a film that combines and examines sex and politics via psychology. It’s a mix of fiction and documentary, exploring Wilhelm Reich’s work.
